118 Eddie Jobson
Out of the four members of UK, all of whom I’ve followed more or less well, Eddie Jobson, keyboard and violin maestro and songwriter, is the one I had least information about. So little, in fact, that the preshow was filled from my general stash rather than leftover tracks after assembling the show itself. We’re up to R in the stash now, after featuring Poco, Queen and Rhiannon Giddens on this show.
The main show held examples from the many works and styles of Jobson, from Curved Air to UKZ, via some electronic New Age, synthpop, Frank Zappa and Roxy Music. Something for everyone.

117: Scott Walker 1 – The Walker Brothers Years
Something a little different this week, put together by Hugh from his extensive stash of one of his favourite artists. Despite losing some of our European audience to Easter holidays, we peaked at 22. A second Scott Walker show will be coming soon.

115 St. Patrick’s Day 2019
Third show in three weeks, and this one was on St. Patrick’s Day, and so naturally we chose an all-Irish set, with suggestions from Malaclypse, Hugh and myself.
We started with an hour of music for the first parade, with a certain amount of “going places” to the titles, as you can see. Then we had the proper show, with talking and all, and to keep things going we extended the postshow to another full hour to keep the celebrations going.

114 International Women’s Day 2019
A session for International Women’s Day, the third we’ve done, and in this case a solo show from Alan. Additionally, we were pleased to assist the MystiTech crew with their show by playing their music for their live presentation.
Technical difficulties meant that I had to restart my DJ software, and we still had some difficulty with sound quality. I will do some more experiments to see if I can resolve this issue.
The MystiTech music was composed and played by Christian Zwang, the musician for all of MystiTech’s Lost Art series. I’ve included their playlist first.
Following that, the intention for International Women’s Day was to play tracks that are all played or sung, as well as composed or written by female musicians. Additionally, I tried to fill the list with tracks that have not been played before on Radio Free D’ni. One of two favourites were still part of the list, of course.
No postshow, as Fil followed on immediately from our session.

112 Jon Hiseman
This show was very much one that I put together, as Jon Hiseman is a musician I have followed since I first became aware of him, and admired everthing he’s done. I was quite surprised to learn that he is not well known, and neither is his most famous band, Colosseum – neither Mal nor Ed was familiar with them, nor were many of our audience. Some were though (Mysty for a start) and others liked what we played. Which is what we’re aiming for, really.
A trawl through the highlights of a very varied career, not in terms of succsss (which was never a primary driver) but in the styles of music and ways of expression. Somewhat stellar in that respect. I only hope we did him justice.

111 MOULa 9th Anniversary
A magnificent audience for this show, combining both RFD and MOULa fans and publicity from Minasunda and our companions in the program of events.
The ninth anniversary meant that we used a combination of the number 9, willow, leather, pottery and copper as our themes, along with some soundtrack music and music from cavern explorers.
There was no postshow, as we went straight into the Magic Light Show. The soundtrack for that, and the dance party that followed, are included below.
