Rarities and What-Ifs, part 9
This week’s show will feature our ninth set of tracks one rarely, if ever, hears on FM radio, and tracks with a bit of a back story to them.

254 All At Sea
Sea-related tracks assembled by Hugh from his impressive collection, including movie soundtrack items, Classica, folk and all varieties of rock. Over 20 listener connections – a good number for us recently 🙂 Thanks folks, and join us again.
125R Be-Bop Deluxe
A trip through the recording career of Bill Nelson’s Be-Bop Deluxe, a Yorkshire band from the Seventies, but with music that has lasted very well. Malaclyps was away from home so I was reduced to flying solo – something I quite like now and again.
253 Mike Stern
A great show featuring jazz fusion guitrist Mike Stern, assembled by Hugh drew a decent crowd despite coinciding with Mysteriium and the UEFA cup final in which England were playing. To the rest of you, you missed a great show, guys 🙂
Mike Stern
This Sunday, we will take a look at Mike Stern, jazz and fusion guitarist of Blood, Sweat & Tears and Miles Davis Band fame. He was part of several other notable collaborations alongside a prolific solo career.

124R Miles Davis: The Warner Brothers Years.
A good show put together by Hugh for us – he’s got more Miles, you see. Up to 16 listener connections, a good number for a holiday weekend, we think.
Miles at Warner
We can see for Miles and Miles… no, wait, wrong artist. This week, we will have a look at Miles Davis’ career at Warner Brothers Records, which lasted from his resurgence in the mid-1980s until his death in 1991.

252 Transports of Delight part 1: Trains
An idea that was sparked by the Dionne Warwick Gamble and Huff track Trains and Boats and Planes, and got its series title from the classic Flanders and Swann song about London buses. Both were in the preshow.
The Blues often makes references to trains, as a means of escape, as a route to a loved one, or taking a loved one away. we had lots of blues, in many and various forms, along with some other stuff.
Transports of Delight I
Trains, Boats and Planes are the topics of our series on transpors of delight. This week, it will be all about trains, from the A all the way to the Rock’n’Roll Train.

123R Summer Dance Set
Holiday time for many and a hot day too for most, and we had a dance set, some fast and some slow, which was well appreciated.
