202 Kansas- The Steve Walsh Years
The American prog band that moved into hard rock via art and a side-trip into Christian rock gave us a great show, looking only at the years with Steve Walsh as leader/contributor. We had a good audience for a holiday weekend (Fathers Day in the US too), up to 23 connections. The preshow was just three of their long-form tracks, played live, and the postshow concluded with a couple of Steve Walsh solo album tracks.

Well… we had already announced we would do the Solstice show this weekend, but due to too many team members being out of commission due to several reasons, we will pull forward our show on the band Kansas instead, which is ready to go. Sorry about that, but we will do the Solstice show ASAP.

201 Paul McCartney and Wings
A popular subject, and we were rewarded with a well attended show, over thirty listeners. I should note that “listeners” in this context means connected computers/tablets/phones – we can’t tell how many are listening at each one, although I do know that there are two or more at a few of them. Very gratifying – and it keeps us motivated to do more.

A show I was very happy with, but was somewhat overtaken by the American Memorial Day holiday, reducing our audience a bit. Nevertheless, sixteen listeners at max, and a very well appreciated show.
As promised, the Mr. Kite poster that inspired that Sergeant Pepper’s track can be seen here.

George Martin Remastered
This week’s show concerns itself with the Fifth Beatle. So, it’s about Stuart Sutcliffe. Er, Billy Preston. Er, Pete Best… well, it could be about over a hundred different people who have been called the “Fifth Beatle,” but George Martin arguably was with the Beatles the longest and had the most influence on their sound, so we are going to have a look at his work with—and without—the Fab Four.

A very fine and refined evening was had by all, as we ventured into the vast area of Classical Music for our 200th show. At one point we had forty-two listeners – a new record for us for a non-special-event show, beating our previous record for the Enya show, way back when.
