043R Remembering Anticipating Obduction
A successful remastering of a set of tracks that I’d assembled when we were just about to see the release of Obduction. I did get a few things right, but more important, it was a great show.
Jan tells me it should be La Journée. All I can say is that the Hellecasters are not French…

A new show, prompted by the recent death of Malcolm Cecil, bass, keyboard and electronic wizard. We played his early jazz bass stuff in the preshow, and the plethora of artists he’d produced and engineered in the main show, along with electronic music from the Tonto’s Exapandind Heand Band, the very seventies name for he and Bob Margouleff playing the TONTO synthesiser.

Malcolm Cecil
“Who’s Malcolm Cecil?” was the question we all heard when we announced we were going to do a show on him this Sunday. Well, he is one of the co-creators of the early multitimbral synthesizer named TONTO, a session player and a successful and influential producer, and he, unfortunately, recently played his last chord. Since there is rather a lot of music he had been involved in, we decided to not wait until the new year to honour him and rather present his work as a stand-alone show.
