245 Themes 3: The British are Coming!

A show of theme tunes and incidental music from British TV spy-and-related series from the Sixties, mostly those from the ITC organisation.  Preshow was music from The Man from UNCLE, the American series that was perhaps the most well-known such series on the International screen.  In the main show we gave you Danger Man, The Avengers, The Saint, The Baron, Man in a Suitcase, The Champions, Department S, Randall and Hopkirk (deceased) and Strange Report, and the postshow was devoted to The Prisoner.

A well attended and popular show, despite being firmly focussed on the British TV scene, with up to 25 connections at one point.

243 ECM Records

A lovely show put together by Hugh from the catalog of the ECM Record label, and introducing me to a lot of stuff I’d not heard before and liked a lot.  Up to 21 listeners for this show, a good number these days.
