124 Miles Davis, the Warner Brothers Years.
A change in pace, not before time, and a very welcome response from you, our audience, with a maximum of 22 listeners, and holding at 20 for a lot of the show. Which was put together by Hugh, taking a small look at one of his favourite musicians.
We even had dancing on the plaza, which is a very positive encouragement 🙂
All tracks were taken from the box set The Last Word: The Warner Brothers Years, from 2001. Collaborations are noted in the title text.

123 Summer Dance set
A respite from weighty analyses of various people or groups, and a bit of relaxation with a Summer dance set, with a big dose of reggae-ish tracks because it’s hot and we don’t want to dance all night at a frantic pace. I tried for a bit of diversity too, with jazz, blues, bossa nova and folk along with the rock, pop and reggae.
If you liked this show, let us know. We already have one more in the pipeline.

Show 123: Summer Dance
To break up the run of shows concentrating on specific artists, on Sunday 7th July we will broadcast a dance set, stuff you can move your avatar’s feet to, and your own at home too if you feel like it.
As it is summer, and a hot summer too, we’ve put quite a few slower dance numbers in, including a 40-minute set of Reggae/Ska/2-Tone and similar treats. Bring your rum along, we can’t seem to find ours.
122 John Wetton part 2
The second part of the John Wetton career summary, and the last of the shows about the four brilliant musicians who formed the band UK. The preshow let me indulge my passion for the bands he was in both before and after his membership, which is always nice. Just over 20 folks in the audience, which was a welcome development, we were beginning to wonder if we’d lost our touch.

121 Scott Walker part 2
We were promised some wierdness from Scott Walker by Hugh in this second of two shows, and it was quite revealing just how strange and experimental some of his later work became. A smaller audience than usual came to listen, with very few in the cavern, but we did manage to reach 19 listeners.

120. John Wetton, part 1
I enjoyed putting this show and part 2 together. Unfortunately, our audience in cavern was smaller than usual, possibly because (as I found out on the day) it was Memorial Day in the US. Never mind, a peak of 12 in the audience enjoyed some of the really good highlights of Mr. Wetton’s earlier career. Preshow was bands Wetton had played in, but before he was in them – apart from one, see if you can find it.
